See Why We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They settle in easily with most families. In the Laguna Niguel, California area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Laguna Niguel. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

Why Our Puppies Are Second to None

When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. Our standards go far beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.

From the start, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies enjoy playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for their social skills, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

You're welcome to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Laguna Niguel, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Laguna Niguel the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Laguna Niguel means 2033 miles and 40 to 42 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Laguna Niguel or in , including Aliso Viejo CA, and San Juan Capistrano CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Laguna Niguel. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Orange County families meet their nanny at John Wayne Orange County International Airport, and Long Beach International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Laguna Niguel we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
