Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Jackson, MI
Learn the Reasons We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, affectionately called Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed is often recommended for people with allergies thanks to its long, beautiful, silky coat that sheds very little. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what most people love is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They blend right in with most families. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Jackson, Michigan area can be difficult. That's why it means so much to us to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Jackson. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn What Sets Our Puppies Apart
We breed and raise our Yorkies the right way here at The Puppy House. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.
Every puppy takes part in Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Jackson, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Jackson mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Jackson it's 188 miles, which works out to 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Jackson County address pays the same whether it's in Jackson or out in , including Blackman MI, Summit MI, Leoni MI, Michigan Center MI, Norvell MI, Waterloo MI, Sharon MI, Grass Lake MI, and Napoleon MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Jackson families would meet the nanny at Capital Region International Airport, and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
