Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts

Everyone at The Puppy House has a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies. A Yorkie's long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little, which is why the breed is often recommended for people with allergies. They're small, usually weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. Then there's their love of cuddling and staying close all the time, which is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Batavia, Illinois area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Batavia. We want every family to find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover What Makes Our Puppies the Best

Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way is what we're all about at The Puppy House. Our standards are much higher than what's required. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to run, play, and socialize.

Each of our puppies receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a set of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This helps with socialization and gives them plenty of exercise too.

We'd love for you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.

Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Batavia, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Batavia that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Kane County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Batavia comes up 360 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Aurora IL, North Aurora IL, and Blackberry IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Batavia families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
