Explore the Reasons We Love Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies because their long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Moline, Illinois area can be tough. This is why we're proud to make our carefully bred Yorkie puppies available to families in Moline. We want each family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can trust.

The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We go far beyond the minimum standards. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another essential step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, since to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Moline, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Moline that's 8 to 10 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Rock Island County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Moline comes up 468 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Bettendorf IA, and South Moline IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Moline families are Quad City International Airport, and Southeast Iowa Regional Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
