Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Lorain, OH
Why We're Crazy About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. And their love of cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They quickly become part of most families. In the Lorain, Ohio area, reputable Yorkie breeders can be tough to find, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we're proud to make our carefully bred Yorkie puppies available to families in Lorain. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Find Out What Makes Our Puppies the Best
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way is what we're all about at The Puppy House. We aim much higher than the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization matters just as much, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We encourage you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies with families seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale to us. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Free Pickup, or $250 Delivery to Lorain, Ohio
Coming to get the puppy
Pickup is free and it's what most Ohio families choose. From Lorain the farm is 72 miles away, 1 to 2 hours by car. A visit is also what separates a breeder from the large puppy websites, which are brokers listing dogs from kennels they have never walked into. Visits are by appointment. That isn't us being formal about it. This is a working farm, and an appointment means the time gets set aside for you properly rather than fitted in between chores. Come out, take as long as you want, and ask us anything. Nobody has ever been rushed off this property.
We're closed Sundays. A message left with us then usually gets answered Monday morning.
Home delivery
If the drive genuinely doesn't work, home delivery to Lorain, to , including Sandusky OH, Amherst OH, Vermilion OH, Brownhelm OH, Florence OH, Henrietta OH, South Amherst OH, and Wakeman OH, or anywhere else in Lorain County is $250, which is the lowest rate we charge anywhere. Your puppy travels with a pet delivery service in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, and there are always two drivers so somebody is with the puppies the whole way. Their own veterinarian checks each puppy over after pickup and before the van leaves the driveway. Reserve before noon on Monday and it usually runs that week.
Flying makes little sense inside Ohio and almost nobody asks for it. If you did want it, the nanny would land at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, and Akron Canton Regional Airport, but a commercial flight with an in-flight nanny runs $750 to $1,200, which buys you nothing on a drive this short.
