Why We're Crazy About Yorkies

Everyone at The Puppy House has a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies. The breed is often recommended for people with allergies thanks to its long, beautiful, silky coat that sheds very little. Don't let their size fool you. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They settle in easily with most families. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Bolingbrook, Illinois area can be difficult. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Bolingbrook. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out What Makes Our Puppies the Best

Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way is what we're all about at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for, and each has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, every puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Bolingbrook, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Bolingbrook that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in DuPage County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Bolingbrook comes up 347 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including and Du Page IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Bolingbrook families are Chicago Midway International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
