Learn Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us

Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Even at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can come across as feisty and bossy. But what most people love is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Orland, Illinois area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Orland. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Ones to Choose

At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We aim much higher than the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. We take good care of our dogs and give them plenty of room to play and socialize.

Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.

We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. Nothing makes us happier than making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Our puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Orland, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Orland that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Orland comes up 333 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Orland Park IL, Tinley Park IL, and Orland Hills IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Orland families are Chicago Midway International Airport, and Gary Chicago International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
