Discover Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts

Yorkshire Terriers, often called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. They may be tiny, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Wilson, North Carolina can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Wilson. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Puppies Special

At The Puppy House, we believe in doing things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. For us, the basics are only the starting point. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. In the backyard, our puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great for their social skills, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Every Yorkie we place matters to us, and it's never just a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy is given their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Puppy Delivery to Wilson, North Carolina by Road, Air, or Farm Pickup

Ground transport carries most North Carolina puppies home. It's the option we suggest first for Wilson. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with a vet check before it leaves and updates as it travels. North Carolina sits in our regional pricing tier, so the flat fee is $350, in Wilson and in , including Greenville NC, Rocky Mount NC, Goldsboro NC, Kenly NC, Spring Hope NC, Elm City NC, Lucama NC, Stantonsburg NC, Black Creek NC, and Bailey NC alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and at 386 miles from the farm your address is an early stop on the route, which usually means the puppy is in your arms the following day rather than three days later.

Flight nanny is the faster choice and is quoted per flight rather than at a flat rate. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin the entire time, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim, almost always the same day. The easiest arrivals for Wilson County families are Pitt-Greenville Airport, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. A Yorkie makes this simple on the paperwork side, since the airline limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkshire Terrier is nowhere near that. We arrange the health certificate before travel.

Farm pickup is the third option. The drive from Wilson is 7 to 9 hours each way, and a fair number of North Carolina families treat it as a weekend. Come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it grew up, and we go through vaccination records, microchip registration, and the guarantee at the kitchen table. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a phone call after a puppy is reserved.
