Find Out What We Adore About Yorkies

Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. They adapt well to most families. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Wilmington, Massachusetts area can be difficult. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Wilmington is something we take great pride in. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best

When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We go far beyond the minimum standards. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, laying the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.

We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That gives you the chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Wilmington, Massachusetts

There are three ways home, and for most families in Wilmington the choice comes down to the first two.

Ground delivery is what we recommend for Massachusetts. A professional transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre transport vet check, and updates along the way. The fee is a flat $350 for Massachusetts, in Wilmington and in alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and East Coast routes usually run next day, so most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure. Door to door matters more here than people expect, because it means nobody in Middlesex County is circling an airport for parking or timing a drive around summer traffic.

Flight nanny is the fastest option. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most are over inside a single day. For Wilmington, the arrival airports we work with are Laurence G Hanscom Field, and General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and traveling with a vet issued health certificate, which is never a problem for a Yorkie. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight.

Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive. Wilmington is 560 miles from Sugarcreek, and 10 to 12 hours each way turns it into a full weekend. Some Massachusetts families do it anyway because they want to see where the puppy was raised and go through the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. You'd head home with a small bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter. We settle the method, the timing, and the fee on a call rather than at checkout.
