Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Westchase, FL

See Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. However, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They blend right in with most families. With so few responsible breeders across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Westchase, Florida area can be a challenge. That's why we're proud to offer families in Westchase our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We expect much more from ourselves than the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have lots of space to play and socialize.
Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home, get to know our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Westchase, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Westchase that means 861 miles on the road and 16 to 18 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Westchase, , including Town 'n' Country FL, Citrus Park FL, and Oldsmar FL, and any other address in Hillsborough County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Westchase, nannies fly into Tampa International Airport, and St. Petersburg Clearwater International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
