Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Southfield, MI

Here's Why We Love Yorkies
At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They settle in easily with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders are hard to come by in the Southfield, Michigan area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're proud to offer families in Southfield our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out Why Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. The bar we set for ourselves is well above the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step in helping our puppies develop good behavior and habits as they grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. That way, you can see our home, get to know our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Southfield, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Southfield mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Southfield it's 160 miles, which works out to 2 to 4 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Oakland County address pays the same whether it's in Southfield or out in , including Oak Park MI, and Lathrup Village MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Southfield families would meet the nanny at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Bishop International Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
