Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in South Bend, IN
Discover Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. However, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and sticking close all the time is the cherry on top. They fit right in with most families. Finding a trustworthy Yorkie breeder in the South Bend, Indiana area isn't easy, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in South Bend. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can depend on.

Why Our Puppies Are Second to None
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. We also make socialization a priority, because it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. You'll be able to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. To us, placing a Yorkie is more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends and keeping in touch so we can watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and is checked thoroughly by a veterinarian. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
What Delivery to South Bend, Indiana Costs and How Long It Takes
Indiana is one of the few states where all three options make sense, so it's worth reading through before you decide what fits South Bend.
Farm pickup
You drive to Sugarcreek by appointment. The puppy goes home with you the same day. From South Bend that's 254 miles, or 4 to 6 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration with us face to face, and leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.
Home delivery by ground
A professional pet transport service drives the puppy to your door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Indiana falls in our regional tier at a flat $350, and St. Joseph County is no exception, whether the address is in South Bend or over in , including Mishawaka IN, Lincoln MI, Benton MI, Niles MI, Plymouth IN, Benton Harbor MI, Oronoko MI, St. Joseph MI, Fair Plain MI, Notre Dame IN, Royalton MI, Buchanan MI, Benton Heights MI, Bertrand MI, Sodus MI, North Liberty IN, Weesaw MI, Berrien Springs MI, Stevensville MI, Baroda MI, Shoreham MI, Lakeville IN, Roseland IN, La Paz IN, and Galien MI. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and because your state is one of the shorter legs on the route, Indiana stops tend to come early in the run. Most families across the country have their puppy within about three days of departure. We confirm the timing on the phone rather than promising a date in writing.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these are done in a single day. For South Bend, the workable arrival points are South Bend International Airport, and Michigan City Municipal Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, so we price it out once we know the airport.
What we usually suggest
If 4 to 6 hours each way sounds like a long day rather than an overnight, come get the puppy yourself. Meeting the litter is worth the drive. If it sounds like more car time than you want, ground delivery is the better fit, and it costs the same from anywhere in the state. One scheduling note that catches people out: most of Indiana runs on Eastern time, but the counties up by Chicago and the ones around Evansville are on Central, so we confirm arrival windows in your local time before anyone sets off.
We send you off with the food the puppy already knows. Walk on a harness rather than a collar from day one, in the carrier and out of it, because this breed is prone to tracheal problems and neck pressure is the easiest part of that to avoid.
