See Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed that's very dear to us. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, their sweet nature and the deep connection they form with their family are what really win people over. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They quickly become part of most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the San Angelo, Texas area can be tough. That's why we're so proud to provide families in San Angelo with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out What Makes Our Yorkie Puppies Special

At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.

We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Out in the backyard, our puppies play and explore alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.

If it works for you, we invite you to visit and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Puppy Delivery to San Angelo, Texas

Home delivery by ground transport

A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates along the way. Transports leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Texas falls in our national pricing tier, so the fee is a flat $450 regardless of which corner of the state you live in. San Angelo is 1219 miles from the farm, and because of that distance most families here are looking at two to three days on the road rather than the next day arrival that East Coast families get. Your driver's stops in Tom Green County include San Angelo along with , including Abilene TX, Ballinger TX, Ozona TX, Grape Creek TX, Sonora TX, Eldorado TX, Menard TX, Eden TX, Robert Lee TX, Bronte TX, Miles TX, Mertzon TX, and Carlsbad TX.

Flight nanny

A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, right beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. The handoff usually happens the same afternoon. Texas has plenty of direct service from the Midwest, and San Angelo families usually meet their nanny at San Angelo Regional Mathis Field, and Abilene Regional Airport. Flights are quoted per trip and cost more than ground transport. They also need a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, a puppy at least eight weeks old, and a little flexibility in case weather pushes a flight. The twenty pound cabin limit including the carrier is never an issue with this breed, since a grown Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds.

Pickup at the farm

Coming to Sugarcreek by appointment and driving the puppy home yourself is always open. From San Angelo that's 23 to 25 hours each way, a commitment of several days, so most families skip it, but the ones who make the drive get to meet the puppy where it was raised and go through the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee with us in person.

What we suggest for San Angelo

For most Texas addresses, ground delivery at $450 is the easy answer, and it is what we would suggest first. It ends at your front door. Nothing is asked of you but a signature. If you would rather not have a young puppy on the road for three days, the flight nanny is usually worth the extra cost. Small puppies can dip low on blood sugar when they travel, so plan on small frequent meals for the first few days home no matter which option you pick. Method, timing, and the fee all get confirmed on the phone once your puppy is reserved.
