Discover Why Yorkies Mean So Much to Us

Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as most people call them, are near and dear to our hearts at The Puppy House. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. Still, what wins most people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Plus, they love cuddling and staying close all the time, which makes them even more special. They adjust easily to life with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Rich, Illinois area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we take great pride in making our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies available to families in Rich. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Yorkie Puppies Stand Out

At The Puppy House, we pride ourselves on breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. For us, the basics are only the starting point. Every adult dog we own is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy we raise goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps shape good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.

We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. Nothing makes us happier than making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Rich, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Rich that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Cook County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Rich comes up 326 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Matteson IL, and Flossmoor IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Rich families are Gary Chicago International Airport, and Chicago Midway International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
