Find Out Why We Adore Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. This low-shedding breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. But what most people love is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and always staying close is the icing on the cake. They quickly become part of most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Racine, Wisconsin area can be tough. Because of this, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Racine. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

What Makes Our Puppies the Best

When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. We aim much higher than the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for, with plenty of room to play and socialize.

From the start, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.

Delivery to Racine, Wisconsin: Pickup, Ground Transport, and Flight Nanny

Wisconsin families choose ground delivery more than anything else. A professional pet transport service runs the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, a carrier of its own, veterinary check done before departure, and updates as it goes. The fee is a flat $350 anywhere in the state, Racine and , including Mount Pleasant WI, and Wind Point WI alike, and transport leaves on Tuesdays. With 353 miles between Racine and the farm, this is the option we point almost everyone in Racine County toward.

Driving to us is a genuine possibility for some Wisconsin families. From Racine it's 6 to 8 hours each way, so it makes for a long day at the least, but you get to see where the puppy was raised, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.

Flight nanny is the fastest route and suits families who would otherwise be at the far end of a long drive. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin at their seat, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival points for Racine are General Mitchell International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare International Airport. Most wrap up before evening. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate. A Yorkie clears the weight limit with room to spare, which is one reason the in cabin option works so well for this breed. Flight nanny pricing is per flight rather than by tier.

We sort out the method, the timing, and the cost on a call once a puppy is reserved, rather than at checkout.
