Learn What We Adore About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and always staying close is the icing on the cake. They fit in well with most families. With so few responsible breeders across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Queensbury, New York area can be a challenge. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Queensbury. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can depend on.

Find Out Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it helps build good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies enjoy playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.
If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That gives you the chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and keeping in touch so we can watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Queensbury, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to Queensbury, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Queensbury you're looking at 8 to 10 hours each way, 455 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Warren County the driver also delivers to , including Moreau NY, Rutland VT, Glens Falls NY, Kingsbury NY, Glens Falls North NY, Hudson Falls NY, West Glens Falls NY, Fort Ann NY, Harrietstown NY, Ticonderoga NY, Castleton VT, Warrensburg NY, Argyle NY, South Glens Falls NY, Tupper Lake NY, Lake Luzerne NY, Fort Edward NY, Pittsford VT, Salem NY, Fair Haven VT, Whitehall NY, Granville NY, Clarendon VT, Johnsburg NY, Bolton NY, Arlington VT, West Rutland VT, Hartford NY, Hadley NY, Wallingford VT, Dorset VT, Manchester Center VT, Crown Point NY, Hebron NY, Proctor VT, Schroon NY, Poultney VT, Pawlet VT, Horicon NY, Danby VT, Indian Lake NY, Orwell VT, Thurman NY, Wells VT, Mendon VT, Benson VT, Shrewsbury VT, Lake George NY, Hampton NY, Schroon Lake NY, Minerva NY, Middletown Springs VT, Stony Creek NY, Winhall VT, Lake Pleasant NY, Manchester VT, North Creek NY, Rupert VT, Hague NY, Hubbardton VT, Dresden NY, Wells NY, Tinmouth VT, Bolton Landing NY, Putnam NY, and Sudbury VT, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.

For Queensbury, we meet families at baggage claim at Rutland - Southern Vermont Regional Airport, and Albany International Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
