Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Northampton, MA
Discover What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Their coat is long, silky, and beautiful, and because it sheds very little, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. A Yorkie typically weighs 7 pounds or less but has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They're a great match for most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Northampton, Massachusetts area can be tough. That's why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Northampton. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Northampton
Why Our Puppies Are Hard to Beat
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We set our standards well above the basics. We genetically test all of our adult dogs, and each one comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another essential step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our puppies get to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
Whenever possible, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy is given their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Northampton, Massachusetts
There are three ways home, and for most families in Northampton the choice comes down to the first two.
Ground delivery is what we recommend for Massachusetts. A professional transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre transport vet check, and updates along the way. The fee is a flat $350 for Massachusetts, in Northampton and in , including Easthampton MA, Montague MA, Hadley MA, Deerfield MA, Turners Falls MA, Sunderland MA, Hatfield MA, Williamsburg MA, South Deerfield MA, Conway MA, Buckland MA, Shelburne MA, Leverett MA, Shelburne Falls MA, Shutesbury MA, Ashfield MA, Colrain MA, Westhampton MA, Whately MA, Gill MA, Millers Falls MA, Chesterfield MA, Charlemont MA, Goshen MA, Wendell MA, Cummington MA, Leyden MA, Heath MA, and Halifax VT alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and East Coast routes usually run next day, so most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure. Door to door matters more here than people expect, because it means nobody in Hampshire County is circling an airport for parking or timing a drive around summer traffic.
Flight nanny is the fastest option. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most are over inside a single day. For Northampton, the arrival airports we work with are Bradley International Airport, and Worcester Regional Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and traveling with a vet issued health certificate, which is never a problem for a Yorkie. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight.
Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive. Northampton is 483 miles from Sugarcreek, and 9 to 11 hours each way turns it into a full weekend. Some Massachusetts families do it anyway because they want to see where the puppy was raised and go through the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. You'd head home with a small bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter. We settle the method, the timing, and the fee on a call rather than at checkout.
