Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in North Miami, FL

Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed that's very dear to us. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. Families in the North Miami, Florida area often find it challenging to locate a reputable Yorkie breeder, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in North Miami is something we take great pride in. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out What Makes Our Yorkie Puppies Special
At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines with a history of great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We're careful about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's always more than a one-time sale. Making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes are all things we love.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to North Miami, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From North Miami that means 1012 miles on the road and 19 to 21 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers North Miami, , including Golden Glades FL, Miami Shores FL, North Bay Village FL, Surfside FL, Biscayne Park FL, and El Portal FL, and any other address in Miami-Dade County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For North Miami, nannies fly into Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, and Miami International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
