Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Miramar, FL

Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. What really wins people over, though, is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. Yorkies fit right in with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Miramar, Florida area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Miramar. We believe every family deserves access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best
Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. We make sure all of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We'd love for you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Miramar, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Miramar that means 1005 miles on the road and 19 to 21 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Miramar, , including Pembroke Pines FL, and Miami Gardens FL, and any other address in Broward County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Miramar, nannies fly into Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
