Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Meridian, MS
See Why We Love Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. They may be tiny, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family that really win people over. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They're well suited to most families. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Meridian, Mississippi area can be difficult. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Meridian. Our goal is to help every family bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Meridian
Why Our Puppies Are Second to None
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. The puppies play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. While you're here, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
What Delivery to Meridian, Mississippi Looks Like
Ground delivery to your door
This runs a flat $350 to any address in the state, and it is what most Meridian families use. Professional transport drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with updates along the way. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Most families have their puppy within about three days of departure, and with 685 miles to cover, Meridian usually lands at the two to three day end of that. Out your way the van also delivers to , including Philadelphia MS, Waynesboro MS, Pearl River MS, Thomasville AL, Livingston AL, Newton MS, York AL, Quitman MS, Union MS, Linden AL, Decatur MS, Butler AL, Nellieburg MS, Collinsville MS, Marion MS, Conehatta MS, De Kalb MS, Stonewall MS, Toomsuba MS, Pine Hill AL, Tucker MS, Scooba MS, Meridian Station MS, Heidelberg MS, Bogue Chitto MS, and Hickory MS, and nothing changes for an address elsewhere in Lauderdale County. The air conditioning matters more on this route than on most, since a four to seven pound dog has very little margin in July. Each puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating and a blanket that smells like its littermates.
Flight nanny to an airport near Meridian
A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin, never cargo, and passes it to you at baggage claim. Most of these are finished in a single day. Meridian families would meet the flight at Key Field / Meridian Regional Airport, and Hattiesburg Laurel Regional Airport. Cost is quoted per flight and runs above ground transport. We arrange a veterinary health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which is not a limit a Yorkie will ever come near.
Picking the puppy up in Sugarcreek
You're welcome at the farm by appointment. From Meridian that's 13 to 15 hours each way, a two day trip for most people, though it does let you see where the puppy was raised, meet the parent dogs and go through the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Which option fits Meridian
Ground transport is the sensible default almost everywhere in Mississippi, and that includes Meridian. If you would rather have the puppy home the same day, a flight nanny is worth pricing out. A few families do make the trip up to the farm, and they're always welcome.
