Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Mandan, ND
Learn Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as they're often called, have a special place in our hearts. People with allergies are often pointed toward Yorkies, since their beautiful, long, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Even better, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They blend right in with most families. Families in the Mandan, North Dakota area often find it challenging to locate a reputable Yorkie breeder, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Mandan is something we take great pride in. We want every family to enjoy a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Mandan
Why Our Puppies Are the Top Choice
We do things the right way at The Puppy House when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Every dog we have receives excellent care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and they get lots of exercise along the way.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. For us, placing a Yorkie is a serious commitment and more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going to their new home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkshire Terrier Puppy Home to Mandan, North Dakota
Three routes are open to Mandan, and we settle on one by phone after the puppy is reserved rather than making you pick at checkout.
Home delivery by ground transport is what most North Dakota families choose and what we would suggest first. A professional pet transport service brings the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The drive to Mandan is 1054 miles, approximately 20 to 22 hours one way, and most families have their puppy in hand within about three days of departure. Cost is $450 anywhere in North Dakota, so the miles cost you nothing extra whether you're in Mandan, in , including Bismarck ND, Minot ND, Dickinson ND, Beulah ND, Hazen ND, North Eagle Butte SD, Eagle Butte SD, Washburn ND, New Salem ND, Underwood ND, Wilton ND, Glen Ullin ND, Elgin ND, Center ND, and Turtle Lake ND, or somewhere else in Morton County.
Flight nanny is the faster option. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them in an airline approved soft carrier, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of them close out same day. For a Mandan handoff we would look at Bismarck Municipal Airport, and Dickinson Theodore Roosevelt Regional Airport, and there's no nonstop service from our part of Ohio, so expect the nanny to route through a connection. Requirements are eight weeks minimum, under 20 pounds with the carrier, and a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. This option is quoted per flight rather than at a flat rate, and winter weather delays are part of the deal in this state, so some flexibility on the date helps.
Farm pickup is welcome by appointment if you happen to be traveling east anyway. It's a long haul to make on purpose from Mandan, but families who do it get to see where the puppy grew up and go over the records, microchip registration, and guarantee in person.
The length of this trip makes one thing matter more than it usually would. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy is small enough that a missed meal after travel can drop its blood sugar, so whichever method you use, plan on small frequent meals for the first few days at home and keep the schedule steady. We go over this on the phone before the puppy leaves.
