Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Little Rock, AR

Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Although they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what most people love is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They tend to fit right in with most families. If you live in the Little Rock, Arkansas area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's what makes us so proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Little Rock. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. Our standards go far beyond the basics. All the adult dogs in our program are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for, with plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. This gives them great socialization and plenty of exercise at the same time.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
How Your Yorkie Puppy Travels to Little Rock, Arkansas
Three ways run from Sugarcreek to Little Rock, and the right one depends mostly on how soon you want the puppy home and how you feel about a long drive.
Home delivery by ground
Most Little Rock families choose this. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, each puppy in a carrier of its own, with a veterinary check before the van pulls out and word from the driver as it travels. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. The flat fee to Arkansas is $450, and with Little Rock 705 miles out, most families have the puppy in their arms about two days after departure, sometimes three depending on the route the van takes. Drivers on that trip also stop in , including North Little Rock AR, Maumelle AR, Landmark AR, Wrightsville AR, Sweet Home AR, Cammack Village AR, and Natural Steps AR, so the price doesn't move if you're elsewhere in Pulaski County or a few miles outside town.
For a puppy this small, the van has one advantage worth naming. Young Yorkies need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, and a ground transport schedule builds those stops in.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most flight nanny deliveries are done the same day. From Little Rock, the airports that make sense for a handoff are Bill & Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field, and Memorial Field Airport.
Yorkshire Terriers clear the in cabin requirements easily, since the limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkie weighs a couple of pounds. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. You need a little flexibility in case weather delays a flight. Flight nanny is quoted per trip and costs more than ground delivery.
Pickup at the farm
You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it was raised, and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee at the kitchen table. From Little Rock that's 13 to 15 hours of driving each way, so realistically two days on the road plus a hotel. Some families make a trip of it. Most don't, and that's fine.
What we usually suggest for Little Rock
Ground delivery is the answer for nearly everyone. At $450 it is the least complicated option, it costs less than a flight nanny, and nobody has to drive to an airport with a carrier. If you would rather have the puppy home in one day instead of two, ask about a flight nanny when we talk. The method, the timing, and the fee all get settled on the phone after the puppy is reserved.
