Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Hickory, NC
Learn Why We Adore Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, often called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Then there's their love of cuddling and staying close all the time, which is the icing on the cake. They adapt well to most families. Responsible breeders are few and far between across the country, which makes finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Hickory, North Carolina area a challenge. That's why it means so much to us to offer our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Hickory. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we believe in doing things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go well beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Our puppies enjoy playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. That way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, since to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, hearing from them over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Puppy Delivery to Hickory, North Carolina by Road, Air, or Farm Pickup
Ground transport carries most North Carolina puppies home. It's the option we suggest first for Hickory. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with a vet check before it leaves and updates as it travels. North Carolina sits in our regional pricing tier, so the flat fee is $350, in Hickory and in , including Boone NC, Lenoir NC, Morganton NC, Newton NC, St. Stephens NC, Conover NC, Sawmills NC, Long View NC, Granite Falls NC, Valdese NC, Bethlehem NC, North Wilkesboro NC, Gamewell NC, Hudson NC, Mountain View NC, Wilkesboro NC, Maiden NC, Cajah's Mountain NC, Icard NC, Mulberry NC, Taylorsville NC, Fairplains NC, Hildebran NC, Cricket NC, Drexel NC, Moravian Falls NC, Salem NC, Connelly Springs NC, Jefferson NC, Northlakes NC, Glen Alpine NC, Claremont NC, Millers Creek NC, Blowing Rock NC, West Jefferson NC, Rutherford College NC, Rhodhiss NC, Belwood NC, and Polkville NC alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and at 329 miles from the farm your address is an early stop on the route, which usually means the puppy is in your arms the following day rather than three days later.
Flight nanny is the faster choice and is quoted per flight rather than at a flat rate. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin the entire time, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim, almost always the same day. The easiest arrivals for Burke County families are Charlotte Douglas International Airport, and Concord-Padgett Regional Airport. A Yorkie makes this simple on the paperwork side, since the airline limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkshire Terrier is nowhere near that. We arrange the health certificate before travel.
Farm pickup is the third option. The drive from Hickory is 6 to 8 hours each way, and a fair number of North Carolina families treat it as a weekend. Come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it grew up, and we go through vaccination records, microchip registration, and the guarantee at the kitchen table. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.
The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a phone call after a puppy is reserved.
