Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Gurnee, IL
Discover the Reasons We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, the Yorkshire Terrier, or Yorkie, holds a special place in our hearts. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They slip right into family life in most homes. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Gurnee, Illinois area can be difficult. That's why we take real pride in providing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Gurnee. We're committed to giving every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Find Out Why Our Puppies Stand Out
At The Puppy House, we make sure our Yorkies are bred and raised the right way. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well looked after and has plenty of space to play and socialize.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In our backyard, the puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's excellent socialization, and it gives them lots of exercise as well.
If you're able, come visit us and pick out your puppy in person. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Gurnee, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs
Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From Gurnee that's 6 to 8 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.
Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in Lake County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. Gurnee comes up 350 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Warren IL, and Park City IL.
Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for Gurnee families are Chicago O'Hare International Airport, and General Mitchell International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.
We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
