Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Gillette, WY
See Why We Adore Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, often called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. The breed's long, silky coat is beautiful and sheds very little, so Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They slip right into family life in most homes. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Gillette, Wyoming area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. For that reason, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Gillette. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Gillette
What Makes Our Puppies Special
At The Puppy House, we believe in doing things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. We genetically test all of our adult dogs, and each one comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Next comes socialization, another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore outside in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. This way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies matters to us, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Delivery and Pickup Options for Gillette, Wyoming
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek
Collecting the puppy here in person is an option, by appointment. For a Gillette family that means 24 to 26 hours of driving each way, so it's usually the choice of people already heading east for other reasons. If you do come, you see where the puppy was raised, meet the parents when they're on site, and go through the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table.
Ground transport to your door
Our most popular option is a professional pet transport service that drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van. The puppy travels in its own carrier, gets a veterinary checkup before departure, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves Ohio on Tuesdays. A run out to Gillette covers 1241 miles and takes two to three days depending on the route across the plains. The flat fee for Wyoming is $450, which covers the whole trip whether you are in Gillette, in , including Rapid City SD, Casper WY, Sheridan WY, Miles City MT, Buffalo WY, Lame Deer MT, Wright WY, Sleepy Hollow WY, Sundance WY, Moorcroft WY, Upton WY, Ashland MT, Story WY, and Pine Haven WY, or anywhere else in Campbell County.
Flight nanny
A trained handler buys a seat, carries the puppy in the cabin in a soft airline carrier under the seat, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Never cargo. A nanny run almost always finishes inside the day. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. Pricing is quoted per flight since it depends on the route.
Gillette families most often meet a nanny at Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport, and Sheridan County Airport. Wyoming's airports carry a limited number of flights, so when we compare routes we look at every workable option and tell you which one connects best from Ohio that week.
What we usually suggest
Ground transport is the practical pick when the van's route already runs your direction, and a flat $450 beats a plane ticket for a handler. For families on the far side of the mountains, a flight nanny often makes more sense, since the last few hours of a ground route through the passes add time that a short flight skips. We'll tell you on the phone which side of that line Gillette falls on.
Either way, one Yorkshire Terrier detail is worth knowing. Puppies this small need frequent small meals to keep their blood sugar steady, especially with the stress of travel, so both our transport drivers and our nannies feed on a schedule rather than waiting until arrival. Winter weather in the mountains can also push a flight, so we build a little flexibility into the plan from the start. We confirm the method, the timing, and the fee with you on the phone.
