Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Flagstaff, AZ

Learn Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies usually tip the scales at 7 pounds or less, yet they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. Yet what really wins people over is their sweet disposition and the deep bond they form with their family. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. They're well suited to most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Flagstaff, Arizona area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. For this reason, we're proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Flagstaff. We're committed to giving every family access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Why Choose One of Our Puppies
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We aim much higher than the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We start every puppy on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If you can, we'd love for you to come see us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love making new friends, staying in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before they go home, all of our puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to Flagstaff, Arizona
There are three ways to bring a puppy home to Flagstaff, and we settle on one by phone after the puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.
Flight nanny. For Flagstaff this is usually the one we point families toward. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, never in cargo. Most of these trips finish the same day. A Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds full grown, so a puppy plus carrier sits far under the 20 pound cabin limit, which makes this breed one of the easiest to fly. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and have a health certificate from a licensed vet, both of which we arrange. For Coconino County families, nannies fly into Flagstaff Pulliam Airport, and Prescott Regional Airport - Ernest A. Love Field, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. Pricing is quoted per flight since it follows airfare.
Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre trip vet check, and updates along the way. Arizona falls in our national tier at a flat $450, and that's the price in Flagstaff as well as in , including Sedona AZ, Winslow AZ, Tuba City AZ, Page AZ, Village of Oak Creek AZ, Holbrook AZ, Doney Park AZ, Williams AZ, Kachina Village AZ, Heber-Overgaard AZ, Grand Canyon Village AZ, First Mesa AZ, Second Mesa AZ, Joseph City AZ, Kaibito AZ, LeChee AZ, Parks AZ, Leupp AZ, Fort Valley AZ, Moenkopi AZ, Dilkon AZ, Hotevilla-Bacavi AZ, Shongopovi AZ, Strawberry AZ, Cameron AZ, Kykotsmovi Village AZ, Munds Park AZ, Mountainaire AZ, Winslow West AZ, Tees Toh AZ, Tusayan AZ, and Shonto AZ. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and with 1670 miles of road between the farm and your door, the run usually takes two to three days depending on the route. The van stays cool the whole way, which matters more here than almost anywhere.
Pickup in Sugarcreek. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. It's 32 to 34 hours of driving from Flagstaff, so nobody does it as a simple errand, but a few families build it into a trip east and like walking the property and going through the health records at the kitchen table.
There's one Arizona specific thing to plan for. Yorkie puppies can drop low on blood sugar after a stressful day of travel, so plan on a small meal soon after the handoff and a few more that first day, and keep water in front of the puppy. Between the desert heat and dry air, that first evening at home should be quiet and indoors.
