Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in El Mirage, AZ
Learn Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies may be small, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They quickly become part of most families. Finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the El Mirage, Arizona area can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in El Mirage. We want every family to have the chance to own a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Choose One of Our Puppies
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We go above and beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines that are known for great temperaments. Our dogs are all well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy we raise goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first weeks of life. We also focus on socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
You're invited to visit us and choose your puppy in person if you can. This gives you a chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy to El Mirage, Arizona
There are three ways to bring a puppy home to El Mirage, and we settle on one by phone after the puppy is reserved rather than at checkout.
Flight nanny. For El Mirage this is usually the one we point families toward. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, never in cargo. Most of these trips finish the same day. A Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds full grown, so a puppy plus carrier sits far under the 20 pound cabin limit, which makes this breed one of the easiest to fly. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and have a health certificate from a licensed vet, both of which we arrange. For Maricopa County families, nannies fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, and Mesa Gateway Airport, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. Pricing is quoted per flight since it follows airfare.
Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre trip vet check, and updates along the way. Arizona falls in our national tier at a flat $450, and that's the price in El Mirage as well as in , including Sun City AZ, Youngtown AZ, and Citrus Park AZ. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and with 1749 miles of road between the farm and your door, the run usually takes two to three days depending on the route. The van stays cool the whole way, which matters more here than almost anywhere.
Pickup in Sugarcreek. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. It's 34 to 36 hours of driving from El Mirage, so nobody does it as a simple errand, but a few families build it into a trip east and like walking the property and going through the health records at the kitchen table.
There's one Arizona specific thing to plan for. Yorkie puppies can drop low on blood sugar after a stressful day of travel, so plan on a small meal soon after the handoff and a few more that first day, and keep water in front of the puppy. Between the desert heat and dry air, that first evening at home should be quiet and indoors.
