Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Dunwoody, GA
Learn Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They settle into most family homes with ease. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Dunwoody, Georgia area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Dunwoody. Every family deserves a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

What Makes Our Puppies Stand Out
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. The bar we set for ourselves is well above the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. In our backyard, the puppies play and explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take placing each Yorkie seriously, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and a thorough exam from a veterinarian before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Three Ways a Yorkie Puppy Gets From Sugarcreek to Dunwoody, Georgia
Ground delivery, $350. Georgia sits in our regional pricing tier, so home delivery is a flat $350 anywhere in the state. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates from the road. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Dunwoody is 476 miles from the farm, and once route stops are figured in, most families here are holding their puppy within a couple of days. The van that serves Dunwoody also covers , including and Sandy Springs GA. This is the option we recommend for almost everyone in DeKalb County. There's no airport trip on either end, and for a four pound dog, a climate controlled van is a better ride than a car with a carrier on the back seat.
Flight nanny. If you want the puppy sooner, a trained handler flies with it in the cabin of a commercial flight, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, never in cargo. Most of these are finished the same day. From Dunwoody, the airports we would plan a handoff around are DeKalb Peachtree Airport, and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound cabin limit with room to spare. We arrange the health certificate ahead of travel, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight.
Farm pickup. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. The drive up from Dunwoody runs 9 to 11 hours each way, and families sometimes make an overnight trip out of it. You see where the puppy has been raised. We go over the microchip registration, vaccination records, and the health guarantee in person. Once the round trip turns into two long days of driving, ground delivery starts making more sense than the gas.
Every puppy goes home with a bag of the food it has been eating. The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a phone call once the puppy is reserved.
