See Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us

Few breeds are as close to our hearts at The Puppy House as the Yorkshire Terrier, also known as the Yorkie. Yorkies are low-shedding dogs with long, beautiful, silky coats, and they're often recommended for people with allergies. Don't let their size fool you. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. Still, it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they share with their family that win most people over. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. For most families, a Yorkie fits right in. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Dinuba, California can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're so proud to provide families in Dinuba with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. We want every family to find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best

At The Puppy House, we always do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go well past the bare minimum. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.

All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Another important step is socialization, which helps shape good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.

If possible, we invite you to come visit us and choose your puppy in person. Visiting lets you see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.

Every puppy gets their first round of shots and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Dinuba, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Dinuba the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Dinuba means 2043 miles and 40 to 42 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Dinuba or in , including Reedley CA, Orange Cove CA, Orosi CA, Cutler CA, Bishop CA, Squaw Valley CA, West Bishop CA, Dixon Lane-MeadowCreek CA, London CA, Big Pine CA, Chalfant CA, Sultana CA, East Orosi CA, Traver CA, Delft Colony CA, Wilkerson CA, Yettem CA, and Round Valley CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Dinuba. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Tulare County families meet their nanny at Fresno Yosemite International Airport, and Meadows Field. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Dinuba we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
