Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Decatur, GA
Find Out Why We Adore Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But what truly wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and being close by all the time is the icing on the cake. They're well suited to most families. There are very few responsible breeders across the country, so finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Decatur, Georgia area can be difficult. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Decatur. We want every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can depend on.

What Makes Our Puppies the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, we do things the right way at The Puppy House. We go far beyond the minimum standards. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
We'd love for you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home, get to know our dogs, and meet us face to face. Every Yorkie we place matters to us, and it's never just a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Three Ways a Yorkie Puppy Gets From Sugarcreek to Decatur, Georgia
Ground delivery, $350. Georgia sits in our regional pricing tier, so home delivery is a flat $350 anywhere in the state. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary checkup before departure and updates from the road. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays. Decatur is 487 miles from the farm, and once route stops are figured in, most families here are holding their puppy within a couple of days. The van that serves Decatur also covers , including Candler-McAfee GA, North Druid Hills GA, North Decatur GA, Scottdale GA, Druid Hills GA, and Avondale Estates GA. This is the option we recommend for almost everyone in DeKalb County. There's no airport trip on either end, and for a four pound dog, a climate controlled van is a better ride than a car with a carrier on the back seat.
Flight nanny. If you want the puppy sooner, a trained handler flies with it in the cabin of a commercial flight, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, never in cargo. Most of these are finished the same day. From Decatur, the airports we would plan a handoff around are DeKalb Peachtree Airport, and Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound cabin limit with room to spare. We arrange the health certificate ahead of travel, and the handoff happens at baggage claim. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight.
Farm pickup. You're welcome to come get the puppy yourself by appointment. The drive up from Decatur runs 9 to 11 hours each way, and families sometimes make an overnight trip out of it. You see where the puppy has been raised. We go over the microchip registration, vaccination records, and the health guarantee in person. Once the round trip turns into two long days of driving, ground delivery starts making more sense than the gas.
Every puppy goes home with a bag of the food it has been eating. The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a phone call once the puppy is reserved.
