Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Canton, MI
What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They fit easily into most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Canton, Michigan can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Canton. It matters to us that every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

See What Makes Our Puppies the Best
At The Puppy House, we don't cut corners when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We set our standards well above the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well looked after and has plenty of space to play and socialize.
Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our puppies enjoy playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.
Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. To us, placing a Yorkie is more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Canton, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Canton mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Canton it's 158 miles, which works out to 2 to 4 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Wayne County address pays the same whether it's in Canton or out in , including and Superior MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Canton families would meet the nanny at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Bishop International Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
