Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Boulder, CO
Find Out What We Adore About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. This breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies because it sheds very little. They're small, usually weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the real reason people fall for Yorkies is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. They blend right in with most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Boulder, Colorado area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Boulder. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Boulder
Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. Our standards are set well above the minimum. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step that lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as our puppies grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
We invite you to come visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll be able to look around our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take great care in placing our Yorkies, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and is checked thoroughly by a veterinarian. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
A Flat $450 Gets a Yorkie Puppy to Boulder, Colorado
Home delivery by ground
This is what most Boulder families use. A professional pet delivery service picks your puppy up here on Tuesday morning and drives it to your door in a climate controlled van, riding in a carrier of its own. Every van runs two drivers, so somebody is with the puppies the whole way out. The service keeps its own veterinarian, who looks each puppy over after pickup and before the van pulls away, and the driver checks in along the route and calls with an arrival time as it gets close.
That week's schedule closes at noon on Monday. The rate is $450 to any Colorado address, and it doesn't rise with the mileage. Boulder is 1243 miles from Sugarcreek, and a van already working Boulder County covers , including Gunbarrel CO, Edwards CO, Avon CO, Eagle CO, Estes Park CO, Vail CO, Silverthorne CO, Frisco CO, Coal Creek CO, Granby CO, Idaho Springs CO, Nederland CO, Kremmling CO, Fraser CO, Minturn CO, Winter Park CO, Georgetown CO, Lazy Acres CO, Dillon CO, Oak Creek CO, Pine Brook Hill CO, Keystone CO, Central City CO, Hot Sulphur Springs CO, Eldorado Springs CO, St. Mary's CO, St. Ann Highlands CO, Copper Mountain CO, Downieville-Lawson-Dumont CO, and Altona CO without adding much distance, which is why every one of those addresses pays the same.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, in a soft carrier under the seat, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these finish the same day. For Boulder, we would route the flight into Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport, and Denver International Airport. Flights run between $750 and $1,200 depending on the route and the airline. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, and traveling on a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian.
Pickup at the farm
Pickup is free and always open to you, by appointment. 24 to 26 hours behind the wheel from Boulder is a lot to ask of anyone, so almost nobody drives it, and the families who do are usually heading east for another reason. Visits get scheduled so the time is set aside for you properly rather than squeezed between chores. We're closed Sundays, and anything left with us then gets answered Monday.
One thing about the breed matters on a run this long. Yorkie puppies are small enough that a missed meal can drop their blood sugar, so the drivers feed on a schedule rather than waiting for a rest stop, and we ask you to keep to three or four small meals a day once the puppy is home.
