Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Bernards, NJ
Discover Why We're So Fond of Yorkies
Here at The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts. Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies because their long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They settle in easily with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Bernards, New Jersey area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. This is why we're proud to make our carefully bred Yorkie puppies available to families in Bernards. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Bernards
Why So Many Families Choose Our Puppies
Here at The Puppy House, we breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Each puppy completes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.
If possible, we invite you to come visit us and choose your puppy in person. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, checking in over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Three Ways to Get Your Yorkie Puppy to Bernards, New Jersey
Transport gets settled on a phone call after a puppy is reserved rather than picked at checkout. Here's what the three options look like from Bernards.
Home delivery by ground
A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves the farm on Tuesdays. New Jersey falls in our regional tier at a flat $350, and since the eastern run is one of the shorter routes, families in Bernards are usually holding their puppy the following day instead of waiting out a cross country haul. Deliveries to , including Bridgewater NJ, Warren NJ, Long Hill NJ, Bernardsville NJ, Peapack and Gladstone NJ, and Far Hills NJ ride on the same van, as does anything else bound for Somerset County.
Flight nanny
A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin of a commercial flight, never in cargo, in a soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most are done inside the day. For Bernards, the usual arrivals are Newark Liberty International Airport, and Teterboro Airport. A Yorkie is well under the twenty pound limit with the carrier included, and we arrange the health certificate ahead of travel. This option is quoted per flight and costs more than ground, and it does ask for some flexibility if weather pushes a departure.
Pickup at the farm
Coming to collect the puppy in person works too, by appointment. From Bernards that's 371 miles and 6 to 8 hours each way, crossing Pennsylvania however you route it, so families who choose this usually stay a night in the area. We go over the health records, the microchip registration, and the guarantee with you in person, and you get to see the place your puppy grew up in.
What we usually suggest
Ground delivery is the practical answer for most New Jersey families, and it's the one we would suggest first for almost any address. It runs $350. The eastern route moves quickly and nobody has to give up two days behind the wheel to make it happen. Go with a flight nanny if you want the puppy in hand within hours instead of overnight. Pickup is a long day, though a good one if meeting us first and seeing where the puppy grew up matters to you.
We send along a bag of the food the puppy has been eating. Drive times are approximate, and the method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on the call.
