Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Birmingham, MI
What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, we have a soft spot for Yorkshire Terriers, better known as Yorkies. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, making it a popular recommendation for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But underneath that attitude, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling up and staying by your side is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Searching for a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Birmingham, Michigan area can be challenging, given how few responsible breeders there are nationwide. That's why we're proud to offer families in Birmingham our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Our goal is for every family to have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Learn What Makes Our Puppies the Best
At The Puppy House, we don't cut corners when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go far beyond the basics. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Every dog here is well cared for and has lots of room to play and socialize.
All our puppies receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises we do in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Playtime happens in the backyard, where our puppies explore with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
Feel free to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a great chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies matters to us, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before heading home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can bring your new Yorkie home knowing they're healthy, happy, and ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Birmingham, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Birmingham mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Birmingham it's 164 miles, which works out to 2 to 4 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Oakland County address pays the same whether it's in Birmingham or out in , including Bloomfield MI, and Beverly Hills MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Birmingham families would meet the nanny at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Bishop International Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
