Explore What We Love About Yorkies

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Yorkies have a long, beautiful, silky coat and are often recommended for people with allergies because they shed very little. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But at heart, Yorkies win people over with their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. They fit easily into most families. Finding a trustworthy Yorkie breeder in the Springfield, Pennsylvania area isn't easy, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Springfield. Our hope is that every family can have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

The Reasons Our Puppies Are the Best

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. We take good care of our dogs and give them plenty of room to play and socialize.

Our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done during the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another key step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's a fun way for them to get exercise too.

If you're able to, we'd love for you to visit and choose your puppy in person. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We love meeting new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our puppies grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Springfield, Pennsylvania

Every puppy leaves from Sugarcreek, and there are three ways to get one home to Springfield.

Farm pickup. You drive to us by appointment and take your puppy home the same day. From Springfield that's 335 miles, about 6 to 8 hours each way. Visiting lets you see where your puppy was raised, meet us, and go over the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. When the drive is short enough to do in a day, this is the option we point Pennsylvania families toward first.

Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives your puppy to your door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Pennsylvania sits in our regional tier, a flat $350. Transports leave on Tuesdays, and Pennsylvania destinations are usually next day arrivals, so Delaware County families, whether in Springfield or in , including Ridley PA, Marple PA, Nether Providence PA, and Media PA, have their puppy within a day of departure. This is the most popular choice statewide and the one we recommend whenever the drive to us is more than you want to take on.

Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim. Most of these are completed in a single day. For Springfield, the options are Philadelphia International Airport, and Wilmington Airport. Flight nanny is quoted per flight and costs more than ground, and it needs a puppy at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds with the carrier, a health certificate, and some flexibility if weather pushes the schedule. A Yorkie is nowhere near that weight limit, so the carrier requirement is never an issue for this breed.

Your puppy travels with a bag of the food it has been eating. Whichever method you pick, the timing and the fee get confirmed on a call rather than at checkout.
