Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Venice, FL

Learn Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This breed's gorgeous, long, silky coat sheds very little, so it's often suggested for people with allergies. Even though they typically weigh 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Yet what really wins people over is their sweet disposition and the deep bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddles and being near you all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Locating reputable Yorkie breeders in the Venice, Florida area can be challenging, as there are very few responsible breeders across the country. For this reason, we're proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Venice. We believe every family deserves access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The bar we set for ourselves is well above the basics. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it's good exercise for them too.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. Every Yorkie we place matters to us, and it's never just a one-time sale. We love making new friends, hearing from them over the years, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can be sure you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to become part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Venice, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Venice that means 926 miles on the road and 18 to 20 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Venice, , including South Venice FL, Laurel FL, Venice Gardens FL, Osprey FL, and Nokomis FL, and any other address in Sarasota County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Venice, nannies fly into Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, and Punta Gorda Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
