Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in New Windsor, NY
Find Out What We Adore About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, commonly known as Yorkies, hold a special place in the hearts of everyone at The Puppy House. This breed has a beautiful, long, silky coat and sheds very little, which is why it's often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies generally weigh 7 pounds or less, yet they carry themselves with a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The fact that they love to cuddle and stay close all the time is the icing on the cake. They're well suited to most families. If you live in the New Windsor, New York area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. For that reason, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in New Windsor. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can truly count on.

Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We go far beyond the minimum standards. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Every dog here gets great care and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy receives Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which is a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. This is a great way for them to socialize, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies matters to us, and we see it as more than a one-time sale. We enjoy gaining new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to New Windsor, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to New Windsor, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From New Windsor you're looking at 7 to 9 hours each way, 398 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Orange County the driver also delivers to , including Newburgh NY, Cornwall NY, Walden NY, Orange Lake NY, Washingtonville NY, Gardiner NY, Montgomery NY, Maybrook NY, Vails Gate NY, and Beaver Dam Lake NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.
Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For New Windsor, we meet families at baggage claim at New York Stewart International Airport, and Westchester County Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
What we suggest for New Windsor. If 7 to 9 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
