See Why We Adore Yorkies

Yorkshire Terriers, often called Yorkies, hold a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies because their long, beautiful, silky coat sheds very little. Yorkies usually weigh no more than 7 pounds, yet they have a big-dog attitude that can be both feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their love of snuggling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Yorkies fit right in with most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders are hard to come by in the Salisbury, North Carolina area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Salisbury. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

What Makes Our Puppies Special

At The Puppy House, we believe in doing things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of space for playing and socializing.

Our puppies each go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important step in helping our puppies develop good behavior and habits as they grow. We let our puppies play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This time outside is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.

We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. Our favorite part is making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Puppy Delivery to Salisbury, North Carolina by Road, Air, or Farm Pickup

Ground transport carries most North Carolina puppies home. It's the option we suggest first for Salisbury. A professional pet transport service carries the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with a vet check before it leaves and updates as it travels. North Carolina sits in our regional pricing tier, so the flat fee is $350, in Salisbury and in , including Tyro NC, Spencer NC, Granite Quarry NC, Rockwell NC, East Spencer NC, Southmont NC, Cooleemee NC, Faith NC, New London NC, Misenheimer NC, and Richfield NC alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and at 339 miles from the farm your address is an early stop on the route, which usually means the puppy is in your arms the following day rather than three days later.

Flight nanny is the faster choice and is quoted per flight rather than at a flat rate. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin the entire time, never in cargo, and hands the puppy to you at baggage claim, almost always the same day. The easiest arrivals for Rowan County families are Concord-Padgett Regional Airport, and Charlotte Douglas International Airport. A Yorkie makes this simple on the paperwork side, since the airline limit is 20 pounds including the carrier and an eight week old Yorkshire Terrier is nowhere near that. We arrange the health certificate before travel.

Farm pickup is the third option. The drive from Salisbury is 6 to 8 hours each way, and a fair number of North Carolina families treat it as a weekend. Come to Sugarcreek by appointment, meet the puppy where it grew up, and we go through vaccination records, microchip registration, and the guarantee at the kitchen table. You leave with a bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

The method, the timing, and the fee all get confirmed on a phone call after a puppy is reserved.
