Discover Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. This breed is known for its long, beautiful, silky coat, and because it sheds very little, it's often recommended for people with allergies. Most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, but their big-dog attitude can be feisty and bossy. But what wins people's hearts is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Plus, they love cuddling and staying close all the time, which makes them even more special. Yorkies adapt easily to most families. It can be challenging to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the St. Clair, Illinois area, since responsible breeders are few and far between across the country. That's the reason we take so much pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in St. Clair. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Families Choose Our Yorkie Puppies

Breeding and raising Yorkies the right way matters to us at The Puppy House. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life, is part of every puppy's routine. Another important step is socialization, which helps our puppies build good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.

We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Our puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before they go home. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to St. Clair, Illinois, and What Each Option Costs

Pickup in Sugarcreek. Collect the puppy yourself, by appointment. From St. Clair that's 8 to 10 hours each way. Families who make the drive see where the puppy was raised and go over the vaccination records, microchip registration, and health guarantee in person.

Home delivery by ground. Most Illinois families take this option, and it's the one we would suggest for almost any address in St. Clair County. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays. At $350 flat, Illinois sits in our regional tier, and since the state is one of the nearer stops heading west, most families have their puppy within a day or two of departure rather than the full three. St. Clair comes up 465 miles into the route, and the same van reaches , including Belleville IL, O'Fallon IL, Fairview Heights IL, and Swansea IL.

Flight nanny. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it over at baggage claim. The usual arrival airports for St. Clair families are Scott AFB/Midamerica Airport, and St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Nearly all of these trips wrap up inside a day. It costs more than ground transport and gets quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy has to be at least eight weeks old and under twenty pounds including the carrier, which no Yorkshire Terrier gets anywhere near, and we arrange the health certificate beforehand. Winter delays are worth planning around if you're flying a puppy into Illinois in January.

We send food along with every puppy. The method, the timing, and the price all get confirmed on a call once a puppy is reserved.
