Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Leavenworth, KS
Learn Why Yorkies Have Our Hearts
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies as they're often called, have a special place in our hearts. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But their sweet temperament and the deep bond they create with their family are what win people over. As a bonus, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They quickly become part of most families. Given how few responsible breeders there are across the country, finding reputable Yorkie breeders in the Leavenworth, Kansas area can be difficult. This is why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Leavenworth. It matters to us that every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Leavenworth
Why Our Puppies Are Top Quality
We do things the right way at The Puppy House when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards go far beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have plenty of room to play and socialize.
Our puppies all go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), which involves gentle handling exercises in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore in the backyard alongside kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
We welcome you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you're able to. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We take every Yorkie placement seriously, and to us it's much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Flight nanny
This one is available on request. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin beside them, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. For Leavenworth, the handoff would be at Kansas City International Airport, and Manhattan Regional Airport. It runs between $750 and $1,200 depending on the route and the airline. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old and under 20 pounds with the carrier, which no Yorkie comes close to, and a licensed veterinarian has to issue a health certificate before the flight.
Blood sugar on a long trip
Yorkie puppies are small enough that blood sugar matters on a long trip. Whichever way your puppy travels, feed a small meal soon after it arrives and then stick to three or four small meals a day for the first few months. Keep the first evening quiet, with no visitors lined up. A four pound puppy that has been on the road across two thirds of the country needs sleep more than it needs a welcome party.
