Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in The Acreage, FL

Learn Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Yorkies are low-shedding dogs with long, beautiful, silky coats, and they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. But their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family are what really win people over. Then there's their love of cuddling and staying close all the time, which is the icing on the cake. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Responsible breeders are few and far between across the country, which makes finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the The Acreage, Florida area a challenge. That's why we take great pride in making our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies available to families in The Acreage. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In The Acreage
Why Our Puppies Are a Cut Above
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards are set well above the minimum. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each dog in our care is well looked after and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
We put every puppy through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization is another important piece, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This helps with socialization and gives them plenty of exercise too.
We always welcome visits, so come pick out your puppy in person if you can. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We treat placing our Yorkies as more than a one-time sale, and we take it seriously. We love making new friends, keeping in touch, and seeing our puppies grow up in loving homes.
Before going home, each puppy receives their first set of shots and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to The Acreage, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From The Acreage that means 950 miles on the road and 18 to 20 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers The Acreage, , including Belle Glade FL, Pahokee FL, South Bay FL, Westlake FL, and Canal Point FL, and any other address in Palm Beach County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For The Acreage, nannies fly into Palm Beach International Airport, and Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
