Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Pittsfield, MA
Discover What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. This low-shedding breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies. Even though most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they often act like big dogs, with an attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But what most people love is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Plus, they love cuddling and staying close all the time, which makes them even more special. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. If you live in the Pittsfield, Massachusetts area, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder can be challenging, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. That's why we're proud to offer families in Pittsfield our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.
Our Available Yorkie Puppies In Pittsfield
Why Our Puppies Are Hard to Beat
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. For us, the basics are only the starting point. Our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines with great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for, with plenty of room to play and socialize.
All of our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first few weeks of life. Socialization matters just as much, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They get plenty of time to play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. They get great socialization this way, along with plenty of exercise.
We invite you to stop by and pick out your puppy in person if you can. You'll get to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. We love building new friendships, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a full veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Pittsfield, Massachusetts
There are three ways home, and for most families in Pittsfield the choice comes down to the first two.
Ground delivery is what we recommend for Massachusetts. A professional transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre transport vet check, and updates along the way. The fee is a flat $350 for Massachusetts, in Pittsfield and in , including Bennington VT, North Adams MA, Adams MA, Williamstown MA, Great Barrington MA, Dalton MA, Lee MA, Lenox MA, Shaftsbury VT, Copake NY, Pownal VT, Sheffield MA, Cheshire MA, Lanesborough MA, Stephentown NY, New Lebanon NY, Hinsdale MA, Stockbridge MA, Hillsdale NY, Berlin NY, Wilmington VT, Becket MA, North Bennington VT, Clarksburg MA, Canaan NY, Austerlitz NY, Otis MA, Petersburgh NY, Richmond MA, Whitingham VT, West Stockbridge MA, Egremont MA, Worthington MA, Sunderland VT, Monterey MA, Windsor MA, Peru MA, Stamford VT, Housatonic MA, Readsboro VT, Florida MA, Hancock MA, Copake Lake NY, Taconic Shores NY, Savoy MA, Plainfield MA, East Nassau NY, Washington MA, and Middlefield MA alike. Vans leave Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and East Coast routes usually run next day, so most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure. Door to door matters more here than people expect, because it means nobody in Berkshire County is circling an airport for parking or timing a drive around summer traffic.
Flight nanny is the fastest option. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and hands the puppy over at baggage claim. Most are over inside a single day. For Pittsfield, the arrival airports we work with are Albany International Airport, and Bradley International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under twenty pounds with the carrier, and traveling with a vet issued health certificate, which is never a problem for a Yorkie. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight.
Farm pickup is open to anyone willing to make the drive. Pittsfield is 455 miles from Sugarcreek, and 8 to 10 hours each way turns it into a full weekend. Some Massachusetts families do it anyway because they want to see where the puppy was raised and go through the health records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. You'd head home with a small bag of the food the puppy has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter. We settle the method, the timing, and the fee on a call rather than at checkout.
