Explore What We Love About Yorkies

Yorkshire Terriers, also called Yorkies, are especially close to our hearts at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, it's their sweet nature and the deep bond they share with their family that win most people over. Plus, they love cuddling and staying close all the time, which makes them even more special. They fit easily into most families. Because responsible breeders are so rare across the country, finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Chino Hills, California area can be tough. For that reason, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Chino Hills. We want every family to have a healthy, well-raised puppy they can rely on.

Here's What Sets Our Puppies Apart

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. The standards we follow go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs are genetically tested and come from strong bloodlines known for their great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy starts out with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done over the first few weeks. Socialization is another big part of the process, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's a great way to socialize them, and they get plenty of exercise too.

You're welcome to visit us and pick out your puppy in person if you can. It's a chance to see our home, meet our dogs, and get to know us face to face. Placing our Yorkies is something we take seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love forming new friendships, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before leaving for their new home, each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Chino Hills, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Chino Hills the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Chino Hills means 2022 miles and 39 to 41 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Chino Hills or in . Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Chino Hills. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. San Bernardino County families meet their nanny at Ontario International Airport, and John Wayne Orange County International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Chino Hills we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
