Learn Why We Love Yorkshire Terriers

Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, are a breed we really love at The Puppy House. Along with their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little, so they're often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but you'd never guess it from their feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The cherry on top is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Fullerton, California area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. This is why we're so proud to offer carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Fullerton. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Discover Why Our Yorkie Puppies Are the Best

At The Puppy House, we care about breeding and raising Yorkies the right way. We hold ourselves to standards that go well beyond the basics. All of our adult dogs come from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments, and every one is genetically tested. We give our dogs great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.

Every puppy starts out with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done over the first few weeks. Socialization is just as important, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.

We invite you to come visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. This way, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take every Yorkie placement seriously, and to us it's much more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends along the way, keeping in touch, and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before going home, every puppy gets their first round of vaccinations and is checked thoroughly by a veterinarian. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Fullerton, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Fullerton the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Fullerton means 2034 miles and 40 to 42 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Fullerton or in , including Anaheim CA, and Placentia CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Fullerton. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Orange County families meet their nanny at Long Beach International Airport, and John Wayne Orange County International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Fullerton we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
