Discover Why Yorkies Are So Special to Us

At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, often simply called Yorkies, are very close to our hearts. Their coat is long, silky, and beautiful, and because it sheds very little, Yorkies are often recommended for people with allergies. They may be tiny, typically weighing 7 pounds or less, but Yorkies have a feisty, bossy, big-dog attitude. Yet what really wins people over is their sweet disposition and the deep bond they form with their family. To top it off, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They're a great match for most families. It's not always easy to find reputable Yorkie breeders in the Corona, California area, because responsible breeders are scarce across the country. That's why we're so proud to provide families in Corona with our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

The Reasons Our Puppies Stand Out

Here at The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. We expect much more from ourselves than the basics. All of our adult dogs have been genetically tested, and each comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs are well cared for and have all the room they need to play and socialize.

During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is also an important step, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as puppies grow. Our pups play and explore in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. Besides being great socialization, it gives them plenty of exercise.

If you can, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We take the placement of our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love making new friends and staying in touch as our pups grow up in loving homes.

Before your puppy comes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.

Yorkie Puppy Delivery to Corona, California: Costs, Timing, and Airports

There are three ways home, and for Corona the choice is usually between the last two.

Farm pickup. Families are welcome in Sugarcreek by appointment. Driving it from Corona means 2015 miles and 39 to 41 hours behind the wheel in each direction, so the families who visit nearly always fly into Cleveland or Columbus and drive about an hour and a half out into Tuscarawas County. That only makes sense if you were coming east anyway. When it does work out, you see the property, meet the parents where possible, and we go through the vaccination records, microchip registration, and guarantee at the kitchen table. The puppy leaves with a bag of the food it has been eating, a toy, and a blanket that smells like the litter.

Ground transport. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, in an individual carrier, with a veterinary check before departure and updates from the road. The fee to California is a flat $450, whether the address is in Corona or in , including Temescal Valley CA, El Sobrante CA, Home Gardens CA, and Coronita CA. Vans leave on Tuesdays, and the West Coast run takes two to three days depending on the route, so treat any arrival window as approximate until it's confirmed by phone.

Flight nanny. This is the one we usually recommend for Corona. A trained handler keeps the puppy in the cabin beside them for the whole flight, never in cargo, in an airline approved soft carrier under the seat, and sends photos and video along the way. Most of these deliveries finish in a single day. Because California sits three hours behind Ohio, a morning departure often means an early afternoon handoff your time, and that handoff happens at baggage claim rather than at the gate. Riverside County families meet their nanny at Ontario International Airport, and John Wayne Orange County International Airport. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price depends on the route and the date. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, needs a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, and needs to weigh under 20 pounds including the carrier. A Yorkshire Terrier puppy at two or three pounds isn't close to that limit, which is part of why the breed travels so well in the cabin.

Timing matters more in California than it does most places. For a midsummer arrival in Corona we aim for early in the day and ask you to have the car cool and a water bowl ready. Toy breed puppies also run their blood sugar down on a travel day, so a small meal soon after you get home matters more than it would with a bigger dog.
