Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Port St. Lucie, FL

Find Out Why We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, also known as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. Known for their beautiful, long, silky coat, Yorkies shed very little and are often recommended for people with allergies. Small as they are at 7 pounds or less, Yorkies have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. The fact that they love to cuddle and stay close all the time is the icing on the cake. They're a great match for most families. Reputable Yorkie breeders can be hard to find in the Port St. Lucie, Florida area, since there are so few responsible breeders nationwide. Because of this, we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Port St. Lucie. Our mission is to help every family find a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Why Our Puppies Are the Best
At The Puppy House, we do things the right way when it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies. Our standards are much higher than what's required. Every adult dog we own is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Every one of our dogs is well cared for and has plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy we raise goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done in the first weeks of life. Socialization matters just as much, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs, playing and exploring together. It's great socialization, plus it gives them plenty of exercise.
We'd be happy to have you visit and pick out your puppy in person if you can. That way, you can see our home and our dogs for yourself and meet us face to face. We don't take placing our Yorkies lightly, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We love keeping in touch with the new friends we make and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy receives their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going home. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting Your Puppy From Sugarcreek to Port St. Lucie, Florida
Families are welcome to pick up in person at the farm by appointment. From Port St. Lucie that means 915 miles on the road and 17 to 19 hours of driving each way, a two day trip for most Floridians. The families who make it come for the visit as much as the puppy, since it's the one way to walk the property, meet the parent dogs, and go over the health records and microchip registration face to face.
Ground transport is what most Florida families use. A professional pet transport service drives the puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a veterinary check before departure, and updates along the way. Transport leaves Sugarcreek on Tuesdays, and Florida runs take two to three days depending on the route and the stops before yours. Florida falls in our regional pricing tier at a flat $350, which is the same fee we charge Pennsylvania and Georgia even though the drive is several times longer. That rate covers Port St. Lucie, , including Palm City FL, River Park FL, Indian River Estates FL, Okeechobee FL, Hutchinson Island South FL, Taylor Creek FL, Buckhead Ridge FL, and Cypress Quarters FL, and any other address in St. Lucie County.
Flight nanny is the answer when you want the puppy home fast. A trained handler carries the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Most of these deliveries finish the same day. For Port St. Lucie, nannies fly into Vero Beach Regional Airport, and Palm Beach International Airport. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and traveling with a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, plus some flexibility on your end if weather pushes a flight. Cost is quoted per flight rather than by tier. The farther down the peninsula you are, the faster the driving miles pile up, and the extra money can buy back a full day.
Two things about this breed are worth knowing before travel day. A grown Yorkshire Terrier tops out around seven pounds, so the 20 pound in cabin limit is never a problem, and a puppy this small can dip low on blood sugar after a long day of travel. Small frequent meals in the first days home are the fix, and we go over that with you before your puppy leaves. If you're meeting a nanny at an airport in July, park close and get the carrier into air conditioning quickly rather than letting it sit in a hot garage.
