Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Sun Valley, NV

Find Out What We Love About Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, or Yorkies for short, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. The Yorkie's long, silky coat is beautiful and low-shedding, which makes the breed a common recommendation for people with allergies. For a dog that typically weighs 7 pounds or less, the Yorkie has a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. But the biggest reason people fall in love with them is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. Their fondness for cuddling and staying close all the time is the icing on the cake. Most families find that Yorkies fit right in. Tracking down a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Sun Valley, Nevada area can be challenging, since responsible breeders are so rare across the country. That's why we take great pride in bringing our carefully bred Yorkshire Terrier puppies to families in Sun Valley. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

Why Our Puppies Make the Best Companions
At The Puppy House, we take care to breed and raise our Yorkies the right way. Meeting the basics isn't enough for us. Our adult dogs are all genetically tested, and they come from strong bloodlines known for wonderful temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
During their first few weeks, our puppies go through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, and it builds the foundation for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies spend time playing and exploring in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. This gives them great socialization and plenty of exercise at the same time.
If you can make the trip, we invite you to visit us and pick out your puppy in person. During your visit, you can see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. Placing our Yorkies in new homes is something we take seriously, and it's more than a one-time sale for us. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Each puppy leaves with their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam completed. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Sun Valley, Nevada, by Road or by Air
Three ways get a puppy home, and living in Sun Valley narrows the choice down quickly.
Flight nanny. Most Nevada addresses do best with this. A trained handler flies with the puppy in the cabin, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim. Sun Valley families meet the flight at Reno Tahoe International Airport, and Truckee Tahoe Airport. Deliveries are usually finished the same day, with photo and video updates along the way. The puppy needs to be at least eight weeks old, under 20 pounds including the carrier, and cleared by a licensed veterinarian on a health certificate. Flight nanny costs more than ground and is quoted per flight, since the price follows the route.
Home delivery by ground. A professional transport service drives the puppy door to door in a custom climate controlled van, with an individual carrier, a pre transport vet check, and updates on the road. Ground delivery is $450 to any address in the state. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and the drive west to Sun Valley is 2003 miles, so most families are looking at two to three days depending on the route. The van working Washoe County takes in , including Spanish Springs NV, Susanville CA, Cold Springs NV, Lemmon Valley NV, Janesville CA, Herlong CA, Golden Valley NV, Johnstonville CA, Patton Village CA, and Doyle CA on the same loop. No airport trip on your end.
Farm pickup. You're welcome to come to Sugarcreek by appointment, see where the puppy was raised, and go over records and the microchip registration in person. At 39 to 41 hours one way from Sun Valley, almost no Nevada family drives it, though a few have picked up while already traveling through the Midwest.
A Yorkshire Terrier weighs four to seven pounds and wears a single silky coat with no undercoat, which leaves very little buffer against a hot Nevada afternoon. The van stays climate controlled the entire way, and because the nanny keeps the puppy in the cabin, the summer embargoes airlines place on cargo pets never come into it. For a July or August handoff we still aim early in the day and ask you to have water and a cool car ready. Small puppies can also run their blood sugar down after a long travel day, so feed a small meal soon after you get home. Timing, method, and cost get confirmed on a call.
