Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Hamtramck, MI
Discover the Reasons We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, affectionately called Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This low-shedding breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies. While most Yorkies weigh 7 pounds or less, they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Even so, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the strong bond they form with their family. Their love of cuddling and staying right by your side is the icing on the cake. Yorkies fit right in with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder near Hamtramck, Michigan can be a challenge, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. For this reason, we're proud to offer our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Hamtramck. We want every family to be able to bring home a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out What Sets Our Puppies Apart
We breed and raise our Yorkies the right way here at The Puppy House. We go well beyond the basic standards. Every adult dog in our program is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
Every puppy is given Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done early in life. Socialization is another important step, and it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They spend time in the backyard playing and exploring with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. That playtime is great socialization, and it gives them plenty of exercise too.
If possible, we invite you to come visit us and choose your puppy in person. That way, you can check out our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and we see it as much more than a one-time sale. It means a lot to us to make new friends, keep in touch, and watch our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before they go home, all of our puppies receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can trust that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Hamtramck, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Hamtramck mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Hamtramck it's 151 miles, which works out to 2 to 4 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Wayne County address pays the same whether it's in Hamtramck or out in , including Detroit MI, and Highland Park MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Hamtramck families would meet the nanny at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Bishop International Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
