Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Hamburg, MI
Discover the Reasons We Love Yorkies
Yorkshire Terriers, affectionately called Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts at The Puppy House. This low-shedding breed has a long, beautiful, silky coat and is often recommended for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. Still, what wins most people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. On top of that, they love to cuddle and stay close all the time. They fit in well with most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Hamburg, Michigan area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's why we're proud to bring our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Hamburg. It matters to us that every family has access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on.

Find Out What Sets Our Puppies Apart
We breed and raise our Yorkies the right way here at The Puppy House. We go well beyond the basic standards. Each of our adult dogs is genetically tested and comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Each of our dogs is well cared for and has lots of room to play and be social.
In the first few weeks of life, every puppy goes through Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises. Socialization is another important step, laying the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. They play and explore in our backyard with kids, adults, and our vaccinated adult dogs. It's great socialization, and it keeps them active too.
If it works for you, we invite you to visit and pick out your puppy in person. That way, you can tour our home, see our dogs, and meet us face to face. We're serious about placing our Yorkies, and for us it's more than a one-time sale. We love keeping in touch with the new friends we make and watching our pups grow up in loving homes.
Before any puppy goes home, they receive their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam. You can rest assured that you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Getting a Yorkie Puppy Home to Hamburg, Michigan
Three ways work here, and which one we suggest for Hamburg mostly comes down to how you feel about the drive.
Pickup at the farm is free and it's the option we point Michigan families toward first. The drive is short by our standards. From Hamburg it's 179 miles, which works out to 3 to 5 hours each way. You get to see where the puppy was raised, go over the vaccination records and microchip registration at the table, and drive home with the puppy in your lap rather than in a van.
Home delivery by ground is our most popular option. It costs a flat $350 anywhere in Michigan, so a Livingston County address pays the same whether it's in Hamburg or out in , including Genoa MI, Green Oak MI, Hartland MI, Oceola MI, Marion MI, Howell MI, Handy MI, Putnam MI, Brighton MI, Webster MI, Whitmore Lake MI, Chelsea MI, Dexter MI, Lima MI, Iosco MI, Unadilla MI, Cohoctah MI, Sylvan MI, Fowlerville MI, Lyndon MI, and Pinckney MI. A professional transport service drives door to door in a climate controlled van, the puppy travels in an individual carrier after a pre transport vet check, and you get updates along the way. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and most families are holding their puppy within about three days of departure, often sooner given how short the run north is.
Flight nanny is the fast option and gets quoted per flight. A handler carries the puppy in the cabin the whole way, never in cargo, and hands it to you at baggage claim, usually the same day. Yorkies make this easy because a puppy and an airline approved soft carrier together come nowhere near the twenty pound cabin limit. Hamburg families would meet the nanny at Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, and Bishop International Airport. Health certificates are arranged before travel, and weather delays are worth planning around in winter.
