Yorkshire Terrier Puppies for Sale in Lysander, NY
Find Out What We Adore About Yorkies
At The Puppy House, Yorkshire Terriers, known to most people as Yorkies, have a special place in our hearts. Yorkies have a beautiful, long, silky coat that sheds very little, and they're often suggested for people with allergies. Yorkies typically weigh 7 pounds or less, but they have a big-dog attitude that can be feisty and bossy. That said, what really wins people over is their sweet nature and the deep bond they form with their family. The icing on the cake is their love of cuddling and staying close all the time. Yorkies make a wonderful fit for most families. Finding a reputable Yorkie breeder in the Lysander, New York area can be difficult, since there are so few responsible breeders across the country. That's exactly why we take great pride in offering our carefully bred Yorkie puppies to families in Lysander. Every family should have access to a healthy, well-raised puppy they can count on, and that's what we're here to provide.

Discover Why Our Puppies Are the Best
When it comes to breeding and raising Yorkies, The Puppy House does things the right way. We hold ourselves to a much higher standard than the basics. We genetically test all of our adult dogs, and each one comes from strong bloodlines known for great temperaments. Our dogs get great care and plenty of room to play and socialize.
Every puppy starts out with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), a series of gentle handling exercises done over the first few weeks. Socialization matters just as much, since it lays the groundwork for good behavior and habits as they grow. Our puppies play and explore outside in the backyard with kids, adults, and our own vaccinated adult dogs. It's wonderful socialization, and they get plenty of exercise too.
We invite you to visit and choose your puppy in person whenever possible. That gives you the chance to see our home and our dogs and meet us face to face. We take placing our Yorkies seriously, and to us it's more than a one-time sale. We enjoy making new friends, staying in touch, and seeing our pups grow up in loving homes.
Every puppy has their first round of vaccinations and a thorough veterinary exam before going to their new home. You can rest easy knowing you're bringing home a healthy, happy Yorkie who's ready to be part of your family.
Yorkshire Terrier Delivery to Lysander, New York
There are three ways to get your puppy home to Lysander, and we settle on one during a phone call after the deposit is in.
Farm pickup in Sugarcreek. New York is one of the states where driving out makes sense for a lot of families. From Lysander you're looking at 6 to 8 hours each way, 329 miles on the road. You get to see the facility, meet the parents, and go over the health records and microchip registration at the kitchen table. Visits are by appointment.
Ground delivery. A professional pet transport service drives your puppy door to door in a climate controlled van, in its own carrier, with updates along the way. New York is a flat $350. Transport leaves on Tuesdays, and New York is an early stop on the eastern route, so most families here are holding their puppy the next day. That matters more than it sounds for this breed, since a Yorkshire Terrier has a single silky coat with no undercoat and not much defense against a cold February morning. The van stays temperature controlled the whole way. Around Onondaga County the driver also delivers to , including Oswego NY, Van Buren NY, Fulton NY, Baldwinsville NY, Scriba NY, Granby NY, Volney NY, Village Green NY, SUNY Oswego NY, Sterling NY, New Haven NY, Cato NY, Phoenix NY, Ira NY, Seneca Knolls NY, Minetto NY, Victory NY, Jordan NY, Fair Haven NY, and Hannibal NY, and the whole arrangement suits anyone who would rather not deal with an airport.
Flight nanny. A trained handler carries your puppy in the cabin, under the seat in an airline approved soft carrier, and never in cargo. Most flights are done same day. For Lysander, we meet families at baggage claim at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, and Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport. Yorkshire Terriers clear the twenty pound carrier limit without any trouble at four to seven pounds, so the breed is about as easy as it gets on a plane. We arrange the health certificate before travel, and the puppy has to be at least eight weeks old. Cost runs above ground delivery and is quoted per flight.
What we suggest for Lysander. If 6 to 8 hours each way is a day you can spare, come get the puppy yourself. It's a pretty drive. You'll learn more in an hour at the farm than in a dozen text messages. If that's more road than you want, ground delivery at $350 is the sensible choice. Flight nanny is for families who want the puppy in their arms in a matter of hours.
